Only Freespace 2 was able to take that and expand all the good things on it. OK, so I'm embellishing but this game is just really good. A game that was not developed by mortal men but delivered by the gamer god him/herself as a blessing to us mere mortals. This game is to me what defined Space sim fighters done right.
If you can find a copy, get Star Wars: Tie Fighter (the win95/98 version).

I'll wait to see if they patch this one a bit first.Įvochron Mercenary is a game I haven't played yet but intend to. One of the missions bugged out and couldn't finish. I've played a "demo" and although reminds me of Freelancer in the way that it flies, I'm not quite sure if its a game thats ready. Strike Suit Zero is a new game that got kickstarted, but not gotten very good reviews. Hard to get into but the flying mechanics are good. Its a sandbox game so go anywhere, do anything, Fight Trade Explore Think, etc. X3: Terran Conflict is a good game, on par with Wing Commander: Privateer.

In fact, why the hell do you not own this game yet? Get the FS2Open mods that enhances all the graphics and adds more campaigns, Freespace 1 support inside Freespace 2's engine, and tons of bugfixes.
